ScarWork: Integrating Scar Tissue into the Fascial Web with Molly Hackett
ScarWork: Integrating Scar Tissue into the Fascial Web features the inspired teachings and techniques of Sharon Wheeler, Certified Advanced Rolfer
In this four day class, students will learn Sharon Wheeler’s techniques for integrating Scar Tissue into the Fascial Web. These methods are easy to learn and highly effective for working with scarring of all kinds.
From surgical interventions to accidents and injuries the student will be provided with tools for helping the connective tissue “find it’s way home” as Sharon says. Molly has been teaching this Scar Tissue course since 2015.
Results of this work include improved function and mobility in the areas surrounding the scar and can also reduce restrictions in adjacent or even distant places in the body. Improved appearance and return of sensation while not always guaranteed can also be positive outcomes of this work.

Finding Your Center Through Art & Movement: Using Mandalas as Creative Expression
The first part of this workshop will be a guided movement experience of fundamental somatic movement principles. The second part of the class will be using these concepts to explore both a creative art exercise followed by improvisational movement.
WHAT TO BRING:
Bring coloring/drawing implements such as pencils, pens, pastels, or markers. Nothing too fancy, just to make some marks on a page! Wear loose comfy clothes to move around on the floor.
Dawn Tanis is a teacher, bodyworker and artist, who has been studying Somatic Movement for 9 years with her local mentor, Janet Kaylo. Her Structural Integration Bodywork practice also incorporates somatic concepts in helping people feel more easeful in their bodies. As an artist, she is very inspired by mandalas, and this workshop is the unique blending of her passions.
